Karunkuruvai Rice is the most widely used traditional rice variety. Used as one of the main ingredients of Siddha medicine. The paddy is black and the rice is red in colour. It has the power to provide “Kayakalpa” to our body. This rice acts as a medicine to cure infertility, femininity and impotence. This rice protects the body and provides fertility and it is edible for all ages. பாரம்பரிய நெல் ரகங்களில் மாமருந்தாக பயன்படும் ரகம் கருங்குறுவை ஆகும். சித்த மருத்துவத்தின் முக்கியப் மூலப்பொருட்களில் ஒன்றாகப் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது. நெல் கருப்பாகவும், அரிசி சிவப்பு நிறமாகவும் இருக்கும். உடலை வலுவாக்கும் “காயகல்ப” சக்தியும் உள்ளது. குழந்தையின்மை, பெண்மையின்மை, ஆண்மைக் குறைவு போன்ற குறைபாடுகளுக்கு மாமருந்தாக திகழ்கிறது. உடலைப் பாதுகாத்து வளத்தை தரக்கூடிய இந்த அரிசியினை அனைத்து வயதினரும் உண்ண ஏற்றது.
